Pioneering Tasmanian spirits producer, Strait Brands launched the first independent premium vodka and gin into the Australin market in 2006 with Strait Vodka and the international award-winning Strait Dry Gin.

This was followed by award-winning Strait Tasmanian Pepperberry Vodka; Strait Tasmanian Sloe Gin, the first commercially produced sloe gin in Australia; Strait Tasmanian Hazelnut Gin (2016); Strait Tasmanian Lemon, Cherry and Raspberry Vodkas (2017); Strait Tasmanian Strawberry Gin and Strait Cameo Tasmanian Berry Gin (2018).

The business is builing a high volume production facility, at York Town, northern Tasmania, on the property from whih it draws its pristine natural spring water, which is offiially classed as 'super-smooth' and perfect for spirits.

Strait intends launching a new super-premium range of vodkas and gins in 2021 under the brand Badger Head and will also package still and sparkling table water in high quality glass.
